A client from Bainbridge stopped by Precision Audio to talk about upgrading his 2014 Ford F-150 with new wheels and tires and some accessories. As with all of our clients, one of our truck experts worked with the owner to choose solutions that met his performance needs and style preferences. Once he’d chosen the products he wanted, we placed an order for those that weren’t in our inventory and scheduled an appointment to begin the upgrade.
Ford Pickup Wheel and Tires
The project started with one of our mechanics hoisting the truck up on our lift to install a TrailFX F25LL3 leveling kit. The kit includes a pair of fabricated steel spacers that raise the front of the truck 2.5 inches to provide clearance for the new Toyo 33×12.50×20 Open Country All-Terrain tires.
Once we had the kit installed, our technician mounted the tires on a set of Fuel Contra D615 20-inch wheels using our Hunter tire machine and Road Force Balancer. We used a set of Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) valve stems, so the computer in the truck can monitor tire pressure at all times, and added a set of locking lug nuts to help prevent theft.
F-150 Truck Accessories
Our client wanted a tonneau cover that would protect the contents of the bed from dust, dirt, water and, of course, theft. After looking at several options, he chose the TFX3701 hard tri-fold cover from TrailFX. The cover locks in place and can be opened easily when the tailgate is folded down.
The final step was to tint the driver and passenger windows. The client chose Llumar ATR tint because it has a nice charcoal shade and does a good job of blocking infrared heat energy from the sun. We cut the film using our computer-controlled plotter so there were no chances of damaging the glass or window trim with a knife. Our tint technicians installed the film in our dust-free, climate-controlled bay to ensure that no debris would be trapped under the film.
Southern Georgia’s Pickup Truck Enhancement Experts
With the accessories installed on this Ford F-150, we called the client to let him know his truck was ready. He loved the new stance and the way the tint and new tires enhanced the overall appearance. We showed him how to use the bed cover and explained how to care for the newly tinted windows.
