One of our returning customers recently visited Precision in Bainbridge to discuss a new lift kit, along with new wheels and tires, for his 2017 Ford F-150 pickup truck. After inspecting the vehicle and talking to the customer about how he wanted his truck to look and how he intended to use it, we looked through several catalogs and websites to choose the best setup that would suit his everyday needs. With everything picked out and a game plan in place, we booked his appointment for the following week.
We started by putting the F-150 on our chassis lift and removing the stock wheels, tires and suspension components. Our guys then set to work on installing a 3.5-inch lift kit made by Ready-Lift.
Since everything bolts back into its factory location, no cutting is required with this application. Installing the kit allowed us just enough clearance to run our customer’s new 20×10 Fuel wheels. These wheels are 10 inches wide, with just enough offset to give us the stance our customer was looking for.
This F-150 received a set of 20-inch Fuel Off-Road Hardline D620 wheels wrapped in Fuel Gripper 305/55/20 A/T tires. As always, we used our Hunter Road Force balancing machine to ensure that the new setup would provide a safe and smooth factory-like ride.
While mounting the new wheels and tires, we made sure to re-install the factory TPMS sensors. Doing this ensures that all the TPMS sensors will continue to work as if they were still in the factory wheel.
Once this was complete, we mounted the wheels using a set of locking lug nuts which will help keep them safe and sound.
After a hard day of work, we had this F-150 looking great! The customer loved the appearance that his new wheels and tires gave the truck.
