A client from Quincy, Florida, contacted Precision Audio in Bainbridge to discuss upgrading and accessorizing his 2019 Ford F-350. He planned to use the truck for more than a grocery-getter and wanted to protect the bed with Line-X, add a tonneau cover, tint the windows and upgrade the front bumper. After talking with the client about the upgrades, he also opted for a leveling kit to perfect the stance of the vehicle.
Protect Your Pickup with a Line-X Bedliner
After sanding, vacuuming and degreasing the pickup bed, we covered the fenders and cab with large plastic sheets and tape to protect them from overspray. Line-X Pro has a thickness of 115 mils and provides impressive protection against scratches, scuffs and chemical spills. We finished the bedliner installation with a non-slip textured surface to provide safe footing when the owner is in the bed.
Once the liner had cured (which doesn’t take very long at all), we installed an UnderCover Flex folding hard tonneau cover. The cover is made with three large aluminum panels that have a black UV-resistant finish. The hinges between the panels, as well as the edges, have weathertight seals to keep water and dust out of the bed while protecting his belongings from theft.
F-350 Front Bumper and Suspension Upgrade
Next, we removed the factory front bumper and installed a Ranch Hand Legend-Series bumper with an integrated Grille Guard. The main bumper is made from 4-inch Schedule 40 steel tubing and features diamond-plate panels for a rugged look. The entire bumper and guard are welded together, so there’s no chance of anything rattling or coming loose.
We added a Trail FX F25LL4 2.5-inch leveling kit to the front of the truck. The kit reduces the forward-sloped rake of the truck and gives it a more authoritative stance.
Heat-Rejecting Window Tint
The last order of business was to install Llumar ATR window tint on the side windows, with a sun strip across the top of the windshield. ATR tint blocks about 50% of the heat energy from the sun to help keep the vehicle cool on hot summer days and ease the load on the air conditioning system. As always, the tint film is cut on our computer-controlled plotter and installed in our dust-free bay. We never risk damaging our clients’ vehicles by cutting film on the glass.

With the upgrades and accessory installation complete, the client returned to pick up the vehicle. He loved the way the truck looked and could immediately feel the improvement in comfort from the tint.
