A client from Colquitt recently brought his 2021 Ford F-250 to Precision Audio to discuss installing a number of upgrades and accessories. He wanted larger tires, a new front bumper and grille, a toolbox and premium window tint. One of our truck upgrade experts worked with the client to help him choose solutions that would serve his needs and align with how he uses the vehicle.
Ford F-250 Tire Upgrade
The first order of business was to install a set of 35-inch tires on the stock wheels. The client chose 35×12.5×20 Nitto Ridge Grappler tires. These mud/all-terrain tires are a cross of the Trail Grappler M/T and Terra Grappler all-terrain design and are made to last up to 50,000 miles. Next, we used our Hunter tire machine to remove the stock tires and install the new Nittos. Our Hunter Road Force balancer makes sure everything will roll smoothly, even at highway speeds.
For the new tires to fit, we installed a TrailFX 2.5-inch leveling kit on the front of the truck. This bolt-on kit includes the spacers, shock relocation brackets, brake line drop brackets and sway bar relocation brackets, along with all the fasteners our technicians need to complete the installation. Finally, we torque all the fasteners, including the wheel lug nuts, back to factory specification using a digital Snap-On torque wrench.
Ford Truck Accessories Add Safety and Functionality
The client chose a Ranch Hand Legend Series grille guard to protect the front of the vehicle. This massive guard is fully welded so that no parts can rattle loose. The grille guard bolts directly to the truck’s frame to ensure that it’s rock solid.
We installed a CamLocker toolbox in the truck bed just behind the cab. The client picked a low-profile model with integrated tie-down rails and a matte black finish. The toolbox is bolted directly to the frame and features a durable locking mechanism to keep everything inside safe.
Window Tint Adds Comfort and Style
The client wanted a window tint that offered both privacy and heat rejection. He chose our Llumar CTX film as it blocks 69% of the sun’s infrared heat energy to keep the interior cool. We moved the truck to our environmentally controlled tint bay and set our computer-controlled plotter to work cutting the film while we cleaned the windows. In addition, our sealed tint bay helps keep dust and debris from getting caught under the film.
