A client from Thomasville brought his 2021 Ford F-150 to Precision Audio for a window tint, tire, suspension, toolbox and LineX bedliner upgrade. One of our product specialists worked with the client to choose a set of tires that would provide the traction and ride characteristics that matched how the vehicle would be used. We demonstrated the difference between the tint films we offer. Finally, we helped the client choose a storage solution for the truck’s bed.
Ford Tire and Suspension Upgrade
The client chose a set of aggressive Nitto Trail Grappler tires sized at 35×12.5×20 to upgrade his F-150. Part of the upgrade included installing a leveling kit from ReadyLift. This kit raises the front of the truck by 2.5 inches to provide clearance for the big tires. Our technicians installed the leveling kit and, as always, torqued all the fasteners back to factory specifications using a Snap-On torque wrench. We used our Hunter tire mounting and Road Force balance machines to install the Nittos on the stock wheels to ensure vibration-free road manners. We finished this aspect of the project by recalibrating the alignment using our Hunter alignment machine.
Line-X Bedliner Adds Durability and Protection
The next task was to prepare the truck’s bed for the Line-X spray-on bedliner. After cleaning the bed and degreasing it, we sanded the paint to give the liner material a surface it would adhere to. We masked the edges of the bed, then vacuumed out any dust from the sanding and gave everything a fine wipe-down before we applied the high-temperature coating to protect the bed from scuffs and scratches.
Durable and Secure Tool Storage
The client chose a king-size CamLocker low-profile toolbox for the back of the bed. This aluminum box has integrated cut-outs in the corners to straddle the rear tire wells while still providing massive storage space. The toolbox has a matte black finish and includes tie-down rails on the gas strut-supported lid.
Ford F-150 Window Tint
After all the other upgrades were installed, we moved the truck to our dust-free tint bay to install Llumar CTX tint. CTX window film offers exceptional resistance to infrared energy from the sun to help keep the cab of the truck cool on a hot summer day. We use a computer-controlled plotter to cut all our films. This investment allows us to cut the film to shape, eliminating the need for razor blades and preventing damage and scratches.
The client was thrilled with the upgrades and loved how his truck looked.
