The owner of this 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 recently visited Precision Audio to inquire about window tint and several accessories to enhance the look of his truck. After a quick vehicle inspection, we showed the client the options available for a suspension leveling kit, a grille guard and window tint. We worked with the client to help him choose the right solution to give his truck the style and functionality he wanted.
Chevy Truck Accessory Installation
The project started with the installation of a TrailFX G22LL2 2.25-inch leveling kit. The kit includes a strut extension spacer for the top of the shock absorber assembly and a lower strut mount spacer that attaches to the control arm. Our suspension mechanics made short work of the installation while ensuring all the fasteners and hardware were torqued back to factory specification.
Next on the upgrade list was the installation of a Ranch Hand Legend Series GGC19HBL1 grille guard. This one-piece guard is fabricated from heavy-duty plates and 12-gauge steel tubing. The guard mounts directly to the frame of the truck. While many guards only offer a dramatic cosmetic upgrade, Ranch Hand grille guards are designed to protect the vehicle and occupants from impacts with animals that run out into the road like deer.
Heat-Rejecting Window Tint
The client asked us to tint the four side windows and the back window with Llumar ATR window film to make the truck more comfortable. The rear and back windows come with privacy glass, but it doesn’t block much of the infrared energy from the sun. Llumar’s ATR film blocks 99% of UV rays and more than 50% of the sun’s IR energy to help keep the truck cool.
As with all of our window tint jobs, we pulled the truck into our dedicated dust-free bay and cut the film using our computer-controlled plotter. We never cut film on the vehicle as the razor-sharp knives could scratch the glass or damage the seals and trim around the window.
Georgia’s Truck Enhancement Experts
With the tint and truck accessories installed on this Chevy Silverado, we called the client to let him know he could pick up his vehicle. When we arrived at the store, we showed him the work we had done and explained how to care for the window tint. He was thrilled with the upgrades and loved the new stance of the truck.
