A client from Bainbridge recently dropped into Precision Audio to talk about a suspension upgrade, new wheels and tires and several accessories for this brand-new 2020 Ford F-250 Lariat. We see many Ford truck owners wanting to enhance their vehicles’ look and functionality, so we were ready to help the client choose a set of upgrades that would suit his application and look fantastic.
F-250 Suspension Upgrade
We started by putting the F-250 on our lift to remove the stock wheels and suspension components. The client chose a Superlift K164B kit that will add 4 inches of height. The kit includes new Bilstein shock absorbers, front springs, suspension relocation brackets and all the hardware we need to give the truck room for a set of 37-inch tires. Our technicians always take the time to ensure that every fastener is torqued to specification so that the truck will be safe and reliable.
Ford Pickup Truck Wheels and Tires
As we mentioned, the client chose massive 37-inch tires from Toyo. The 27×13.5×20 Open Country Mud Terrain tires have a tread block design that provides excellent off-road traction and aggressive looks. We used our Hunter tire machine to mount the tires on a set of Fuel Vapor 20-inch wheels. We added Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors (TPMS) to the wheels to ensure that this vital safety system would continue functioning.
Truck Accessories Add Safety and Convenience
Next, we installed a Ranch Hand Legend Series Grille Guard. This steel guard is a one-piece design that will provide genuine protection in both head-on and offset collisions. The guard bolts directly to the frame of the truck for maximum strength.
The client requested that a CamLocker Low Profile toolbox to be installed in the back of the truck. This aluminum toolbox uses a cam-style locking system that will keep the contents safe. The client’s particular model has a matte black finish and includes tie-down rails around the upper edges.
We finished off the accessories with a set of front and rear WeatherTech FloorLiner mats to keep dirt and dust out of the carpets.
Window Tint Keeps Things Cool
Last on our list was tinting the driver and passenger windows with Llumar ATR window film. This tint matches the rear windows well while providing excellent UV protection and heat resistance. We always cut our films using a computer-controlled plotter so that our technicians never have to use a razor blade or knife on the vehicle.
The client was thrilled with the suspension, wheel, tire and accessory upgrades. The new stance of the truck was just what he wanted. If you’re interested in upgrading your vehicle, drop by Precision Audio in Bainbridge or Thomasville, or send our team an e-mail.
