One of our long-time customers recently contacted the staff at Precision in Bainbridge regarding his son’s 2016 Jeep Wrangler. He was concerned that the Jeep didn’t have a backup camera on the factory navigation unit. After showing him multiple options, he decided it would be best to incorporate a backup camera into the factory navigation unit. With a plan in mind, we set up an appointment for our team of professional installers to install his new backup camera.
Echomaster hit the nail on the head when they made this integration kit, specifically designed for Jeep Wranglers with factory navigation units. This kit includes a spare tire mount with an IP67 water- and debris-rated camera, which gives the driver the ability to see a full 170 degrees behind them when backing up.
Another great feature of this kit is they designed it to be plug-and-play, so our installers were able to pull out the factory radio and have the camera working by connecting just a few wires.
While the client was waiting, our sales team spoke to him about the importance of window tint. Our ATR tint not only matches the shade of the rear windows on this Jeep perfectly, but it also blocks out 51% of IR heat from the sun. This helps preserve the interior of the Jeep while keeping it cool during those hot summer months. After discussing the benefits, he gave us the go-ahead, so we pulled the Jeep into our enclosed tint bay. We then used our computer-controlled plotter so we wouldn’t have to use a razor anywhere near the Jeep. Once finished with that installation, we wiped everything down and pulled it around front, where one of our sales members met his son to show him how to work his new backup camera.
