A customer recently stopped by Precision of Thomasville after purchasing his new 2022 GMC 2500 Denali from Spence Chevrolet of Thomasville, GA. Our customer’s main reason for stopping by was to set an appointment to get his truck windows tinted. Since the customer was at the store, we were able to step outside to see the truck. While discussing his options, we learned that he wanted superior heat protection that would help keep the truck cool.
Since we had a general idea of what he was looking for, we headed back inside to show him our Llumar heat lamp display. This display allows customers to see and feel how much heat each grade of Llumar film holds back. Being able to feel the differences in each film quickly led to him to choosing Llumar’s ceramic tint. Llumar CTX tint provides 53% heat rejection, blocks 99% of the sun’s harmful UV rays and comes with a nationwide lifetime warranty.
The first step was to thoroughly clean the vehicle’s windows in our enclosed tint bay to prevent any dust or debris from getting into the tint. Next, we used our computer system to precisely cut out the tint for a perfect fit for his vehicle. Many shops still hand-cut tint, but this means they are using your vehicle’s windows as a cutting board. That never happens in our shop; we treat each vehicle as our own and return it in the same condition as it’s brought to us.
After all the windows are cleaned, we then spray the windows with a slip agent and begin positioning the window tint perfectly on the glass. Once the tint film is in place, we squeegee the slip agent out from under the film, causing it to adhere to the glass. Once that is completed, we reassemble the vehicle, wipe all the door panels down and pull the vehicle back around for our customer.
If you would like the windows tinted on your car, truck or SUV, give us a call in Thomasville at 229-233-5001 or in Bainbridge at 229-246-2111 to schedule your appointment today.
