A client from Bainbridge visited Precision Audio to inquire about upgrading his 2019 Ford F-150 with a suspension lift kit, a large wheel and tire package and a few performance and convenience accessories. The client already had a set of 20-inch wheels for the vehicle but asked for our assistance in choosing the right tires. With that settled, we also helped him pick side steps, towing shackles, an upgraded intake and the right shade of the window tint to round out the upgrades.
Ford Lift Kit for Huge Tire Package
The client chose a Rough Country 55730 6-inch lift kit to give his truck an aggressive stance and provide more-than-ample clearance for a set of 35-inch-tall tires. The lift kit includes new lower control arm mounting brackets, upper shock spacers, re-engineered steering knuckles and a differential drop bracket. This is an extensive upgrade, but our technicians had no problem completing the installation. Once done, they double-checked all the fasteners to ensure everything would be secure.
F-150 Wheel and Tire Package
The client chose Nitto Ridge Grappler tires sized at 35×12.50×20 to be wrapped around the 20-inch Hardrock H502 wheels. We used our Hunter tire mounting machine to put everything together, then loaded each combination on our Road Force balancer. This balancer applies hundreds of pounds of pressure to the tire to make sure it’s seated in the bead correctly before it begins the balancing process.
Truck Accessories Add Convenience
With the wheels and tires mounted, we turned our attention to the remainder of the accessories the client requested. We installed a set of Rough Country RS158 D-Ring shackles in place of the factory tow hooks. Next, we added a set of Rough Country Wheel to Wheel Nerf Steps to the cab’s sides to make getting in and out of the vehicle easier. Finally, we installed a Rough Country 10555 cold air intake to keep the big V8 breathing efficiently.
Bainbridge’s Best Window Tint
The last step was for our technicians to tint the windows with Llumar ATC film. We use a computer-controlled plotter to cut the tint film instead of a razor knife on the glass. Again, our machine process costs more, but it eliminates the chances of scratches on the glass and trim.
With the lift kit tires and accessories installed on the F-150, the client returned to Precision Audio to check out the upgrades. He loved the way it looked!
