A client from nearby Colquitt recently contacted the team at Precision Audio with a list of accessories and upgrades he wanted to add to his 2019 Ford F-250. We met with the client to look over his shopping list, discussing each element and solutions that worked with his needs and the desired appearance for the vehicle. After picking out new wheels and tires, a leveling kit, the right shade of window film and a set of floor mats, we ordered the parts we didn’t already have in stock and scheduled an appointment for the installation.
Super Duty Tire Upgrade and Leveling Kit
We started the project by installing a TrailFX F25LL4 2.5-inch front leveling kit on the truck. This kit raises the front of the Ford to make it level with the rear and provide additional clearance around the tires. The client chose a set of Nitto Ridge Grappler 35×12.5/20 tires for the truck to give it an aggressive stance and increase traction. We mounted the tires on the factory 20-inch wheels using our Hunter tire machine then balanced the assembly using our Road Force balancer to ensure a smooth and safe ride on the highway.
Ford F-250 Grille Guard and Interior Accessories
While we had the truck on the hoist, our technicians installed a Ranch Hand GGF171BL1 Legend-Series grille guard. This one-piece fabricated guard not only looks tough, it helps to protect the vehicle and occupants from impacts. The guard is fabricated from 5/16-inch steel uprights with 12-gauge steel tubing and a mesh insert that matches the factory grille.
We also installed a set of WeatherTech FloorLiner floor mats in the truck. These mats are custom-made for this specific application and feature a design that is contoured to fit the floor, firewall and center console of the footwells. The mats protect the carpet from mud, sand and dirt to maintain the value of the vehicle.
Ford Truck Window Tint
The last step was to tint the front windows on the truck so that they would match the rear side and back windows. The client chose LLumar ATR tint because it offers good heat rejection without the cost of going to a ceramic film. We cut the film for the two windows and an eyebrow for the windshield using our computer-controlled plotter. With the truck in our climate-controlled, dust-free tint bay, our team prepared the windows and completed the film installation.
