One of our returning customers recently visited Precision in Bainbridge to discuss a new leveling lift kit, along with new wheels and tires, for his 2020 Ford Expedition. After inspecting the vehicle and talking to the customer about how he wanted his SUV to look and how he intended to use it, we looked through several catalogs and websites to choose the best setup to suit his everyday needs. With everything picked out and a game plan in place, we booked his appointment for the following week.
We started by putting the Expedition on our chassis lift and removing the stock wheels, tires and suspension components. Our guys then set to work on installing a Ready-Lift 3”/2” leveling lift kit. Since everything bolts back into its factory location, this application doesn’t require any cutting. Installing the kit allowed us just enough clearance to run our customer’s new 20×10 Fuel wheels. These wheels are 10 inches wide, with just enough offset to provide the stance our customer was looking for.
This Expedition received a set of 20-inch Fuel Off-Road Rage D711 wheels wrapped in Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/65/20 tires. As always, we used our Hunter Road Force balancing machine to ensure that the new setup would provide a safe and smooth factory-like ride. While mounting the new wheels and tires, we also made sure to re-install the factory TPMS sensors. Doing this ensures that all the TPMS sensors will continue to work as if they were still in the factory wheel.
Once this process was complete, we mounted the wheels using a set of locking lug nuts that will help keep them safe and sound. After a hard day of work, we had this Expedition looking great, and the customer loved the appearance the new wheels and tires gave his SUV.
