A new client from Bainbridge contacted Precision Audio about upgrading the factory system in his 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. Like most factory systems, the bass response was very weak.
He wanted to keep his factory radio, so he chose the AudioControl LC2i two-channel line output converter to integrate with his stock system. For the amplifier, he chose the Rockford Punch P300X1 mono amplifier and a Punch 12″ P2D412 woofer.
We installed the system using an 8 gauge amp kit, which we fused at the battery to protect the equipment from any shortage. We installed the woofer in a 12″ ported box, which we tuned specifically for the Rockford woofer. The line output converter restored the bass, which is restricted by most factory systems.
To complete the installation, we tuned the amplifier to prevent any clipping or distortion, which resulted in a clean audiophile sound.
